Since 1 September 2025, Marco Estermann is Chief of Staff and Member Management Committee Exchanges at SIX. In this role, Marco drives the Exchanges’ strategic vision, ensuring operational excellence, and alignment with organizational goals. Before that, he held various leadership positions within the Business Unit Exchanges, such as e.g., COO a.i. and Head Business Development for both Swiss and Spanish markets as well as Head Strategic Projects, with responsibility for Strategy & Innovation and Regulatory Relations of the Swiss Exchange business. Prior to these more strategic roles, Marco had been acting as Head Issuer Relations with responsibility for the origination of new listings as well as the relationship management with listed companies since he had joined SIX Swiss Exchange in November 2009. Before joining SIX, Marco worked for several investment banks in their Corporate Finance departments, amongst others with UBS Investment Bank in Zurich and London where he was involved in various capital market-, M&A-, private equity and venture capital transactions. The Swiss citizen holds a master’s degree in banking and finance from the University of Zurich (Switzerland).
