I imagined my children asking: ‘But you’re a scientist — couldn’t you have done something?’ I didn’t have a good enough answer, so I needed to find one. Working at Carbonfuture gives me far more leverage to create a positive impact than I could ever achieve alone.

Peter’s diverse scientific and creative background shapes his approach to building systems that last. After studying Astrophysics at Cambridge University and Opera at the Royal College of Music, he built a career as a professional opera singer. Driven by a growing sense of responsibility to use his technical abilities for meaningful climate impact, he then transitioned into engineering to help scale real, durable carbon removal. Before joining Carbonfuture in 2025, Peter worked on large-scale, security‑critical systems in the public sector. As a Senior Software Engineer, he focuses on the technical infrastructure that supports the full carbon‑credit lifecycle, ensuring transparent, trustworthy data for effective climate action. Peter brings a passion for collaborative problem‑solving and is excited to help build systems that scale the durable CDR ecosystem with integrity.
